Title of degree: BSc in Agricultural Engineering

Duration in semesters: 6+1 semesters both full-time and part-time

Specializations both in full-time, and part-time courses (since September 2021):

  • sustainable management (headcount dependent)
  • plant protection ( headcount dependent)

The objectives of the course: to train agricultural engineers who have a high level of basic knowledge and related experience in the scientific fields necessary for the cultivation of agriculture. In addition, they have a high level of scientific, technical and economic knowledge and are able to add value to production and farming in a business environment or in their own enterprise. Graduate engineers are able to carry out production, distribution, organisation and control tasks to ensure the optimal and sustainable use of local resources, and are therefore qualified to take on engineering, research and management positions in design and development. Our graduates are capable of interpreting EU agricultural standards, designing and solving programmes, assessing the production potential of agricultural workers, writing and coordinating projects for the development of the business.

The course is also available as a full-time dual-training course!

After graduation, you have the possibility to start our MSc in Agricultural Engineering in Rural Development with full credit transfer, or you can take partial credit transfer in our MSc in Horticulture.

Depending on the subject, the semester can be completed by passing a colloquium (with a five-point grade), a practical grade (with a five-point grade) or a signature.  Method of assessment: final examination, online test, homework, design assignment, presentation, etc.

The requirements for the award of the Absolutorium (final certificate) are: completion of the study and examination requirements set out in the curriculum, completion of the required internships, and the acquisition of all the credits set out in the curriculum.

Requirements for admission to the final examination: obtaining the final certificate (diploma), submission and acceptance of the thesis/dissertation, application for the final examination. Successful completion of the final examination is a prerequisite for the award of a diploma certifying the completion of higher education studies.
